Bollywood actor Siddharth Malhotra is one of the most promising new comers the film industry has had. The actor who in a very short span of time has gained a lot of praise and popularity from the masses. He was last seen on the silver screen with Akshay Kumar in the film Brothers and now is all geared up for his next flick, Kapoor and sons, which also stars actor Fawad Khan and his alleged girl friend Alia Bhatt.
Talking about his upcoming film Kapoor and sons, Siddharth Malhotra said, “It’s a story about a normal Punjabi family and how they eventually come together. Fawad Khan and I play brothers. Rishi Kapoor plays the grand father, while Rajat Kapoor and Ratna Pathak play our parents. It’s the story of a family where we don’t talk about our issues. Each of us bottles up so many things over the years, which culminates in the climax. Sometimes it becomes too late to bring up issues and that leads to regret. It’s a slice- of- life- kind of film. I’m playing the youngest son, who is a drifter. I’m so excited about this movie because I look like a boy. I’m also playing a writer. So I have no six- pack abs. For the first time I will not bear a resemblance to what you have seen of me so far.”
Talking about the weight lose that the actor had to do for the role for the film, Siddharth said, “Three months is good enough for your body to accumulate or loose weight. Obviously you need guidance. I had four months between Brothers and Kapoor and Sons. I turned vegetarian so that helped. I was eating so much meat for Brothers. The basic science is eating less and training more. I started doing cardio. Yoga helped too. It calmed me down.”
